Activity at Karachi and Qasim Ports
20/07/2013 (Business Recorder) - The Karachi Port handled 96,594 tonnes of cargo comprising 83,415 tonnes of import cargo and 13,179 tonnes of export cargo including 1,646 loaded and empty containers during the last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Friday. The total import cargo of 83,415 tonnes comprised 10,651 tonnes of containerised cargo; 4,543 tonnes of general cargo; 35,873 tonnes of bulk cargo: 31,950 tonnes of coal; 3,923 tonnes of scrap and 32,348 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
