RP Offers Indonesia 12,000 Hectares for Oil Palm Plantation

01/06/2013 (Jakarta Post) - The Philippine government has offered the Indonesian government 12,000 hectares of land in Mindanau Island to be developed into a oil palm plantation by the latter\'s state-owned company.

Activity at Karachi and Qasim Ports

01/06/2013 (Business Recorder) - The Karachi Port handled 105,446 tonnes of cargo comprising 67,902 tonnes of import cargo and 37,544 tonnes of export cargo including 4,483 loaded and empty containers during the last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Thursday. The total import cargo of 67,902 tonnes comprised 38,965 tonnes of containerised cargo; 7,006 tonnes of general cargo; 11,659 tonnes of bulk cargo: 4,273 tonnes of DAP; 7,386 tonnes of rock phosphate and 10,272 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
