21/09/2013 (Hindu Business Line) - Malaysian palm oil futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange edged lower on Friday, as the ringgit continued to appreciate to a three-month high following the US Federal Reserve's surprise decision to postpone any reduction in its bond-buying programme. Market participants liquidated positions ahead of vegoil forecasts by leading analysts in Mumbai over the weekend.

The total import cargo of 132,001 tonnes comprised 54,354 tonnes of containerised cargo; 36,927 tonnes of bulk cargo: 22,151 tonnes of coal; 6,573 tonnes of DAP; 5,251 tonnes of rape seed; 1,303 tonnes of palm kernel expeller; 1,649 tonnes of soyabean meal and 40,720 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
