20/09/2013 (Business Recorder) - The Karachi Port handled 150,269 tonnes of cargo comprising 132,001 tonnes of import cargo and 18,268 tonnes of export cargo including 6,352 loaded and empty containers during the last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The total import cargo of 132,001 tonnes comprised 54,354 tonnes of containerised cargo; 36,927 tonnes of bulk cargo: 22,151 tonnes of coal; 6,573 tonnes of DAP; 5,251 tonnes of rape seed; 1,303 tonnes of palm kernel expeller; 1,649 tonnes of soyabean meal and 40,720 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
