India's Soybean Oil Imports May Rise 18% on Lower Price, Duty

04/11/05 (Bloomberg) -- India, the world's third-biggest soybean oil buyer, may import 18 percent more of the edible oil this year as lower prices and tax make it more attractive for traders than rival palm oil, a trade body said.

(1961.KU) will build its first biodiesel plant on its own, either in the Netherlands or in Pasir Gudang, in southern Johor state, to capitalize on the green fuel's growing global potential, the daily New Straits Times reports.

Oil World sees Malaysia's 2006 palm oil output up

9/11/05 (Reuters) - Malaysia's 2006 calendar-year palm oil output is forecast to rise to 15.6 million tonnes from a likely 15.14 million tonnes in 2005, Hamburg-based oilseeds analyst Oil World said in its first preliminary estimate of the country's production.
