Cooking oil seized, hoarders warned

14/01/2008 (NST Online), Kuala Lumpur - Hoarders of cooking oil are being watched closely by the Consumer Affairs and Trade Ministry, which announced today that 12,825kg of cooking oil were seized since last week from 17 cases nationwide. The seizures were valued at RM37,707. Consumer Affairs and Trade deputy minister Datuk S. Veerasingam warned retailers against hoarding cooking oil on the hope that prices will rise.
