Palm Waste Could Be $9.3B Business: Malaysian PM

30/11/2011 (Biofuels Digest) - In Malaysia, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak said in a speech during the launch of BioMalaysia 2011 and the 2011 Pacific Rim Summit on Industrial and Bio-Energy that the country could reap major benefits as the world’s largest palm oil exporter due to the tremendous potential to use palm oil waste in high-value industrial applications.

Shipping Activity At Port Qasim

30/11/2011 (APP) - Shipping activity remained active at the port where three ships carrying palm oil, furnace oil and phosphoric acid were allotted berths at Liquid Cargo Terminal, FETCH Oil Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Monday, November 28.Meanwhile another container ship also arrive at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the same day.Berth occupancy was managed at the Port at 54% on Monday where a total of seven ships namely, M.V Fisher-K, M.V Zeynep-k, M.V Wolong Song, M.T Golden Ambrosia, M.T Chembulk Jakarta, M.T Battery Park and M.T Guana Raba are currently occupying berths to load/offload cement, canola seeds, project cargo, chemicals, palm oil, phosphoric acid and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
