Feronia Provides 2013 Outlook

01/06/2013 (Stockhouse) - Feronia late Thursday announced that the commissioning of the new palm oil mill at Yaligimba in the Democratic Republic of Congo in 2013 is expected to provide it with immediate access to an additional 3,757 hectares of mature oil palms for the production of crude palm oil, an increase of 62.1% from the area currently accessible.

Activity at Karachi and Qasim Ports

01/06/2013 (Business Recorder) - The Karachi Port handled 105,446 tonnes of cargo comprising 67,902 tonnes of import cargo and 37,544 tonnes of export cargo including 4,483 loaded and empty containers during the last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Thursday. The total import cargo of 67,902 tonnes comprised 38,965 tonnes of containerised cargo; 7,006 tonnes of general cargo; 11,659 tonnes of bulk cargo: 4,273 tonnes of DAP; 7,386 tonnes of rock phosphate and 10,272 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
