Renowned Experts To Speak On Latest Developments In Biogas Industry At Biogas Asia-Pacific Forum
31/05/2013 (Bernama) - The Malaysian Biotechnology Corp Bhd (BiotechCorp) and International Clean Energy and Sustainability Network of Singapore will co-host the second Biogas Asia-Pacific Forum.
Renowned experts will be speaking on latest developments in the biogas industry and its future at the three-day forum from June 12, BiotechCorp said in a statement today.
"Biogas has been identified as one of the key contributors to Malaysia's sustainable and renewable energy.
"It is one of the five renewable energy under the Renewables Energy Policy and Action Plan which sets a target of 4,000 megawatts of installed renewable energy capacity for 2030, raising the total installed capacity to 17 per cent from less than one per cent today," it said.
Among the topics that will be highlighted during the upcoming forum is Malaysia's biogas masterplan, the future of biogas in the Malaysian palm oil industry and financing for biogas in Asia, the statement added.
