Asian Agri Aims Output at 1M Tons in 2015

Edible Oils Rise with Firm Overseas Markets
20/12/2014 (Hindu Business Line) - Edible oils prices increased on Friday on the back of firm overseas market. On the Bombay Commodity Exchange, groundnut oil and sunflower oil rose by ₹5 each, cotton oil was up by ₹1, rapeseed oil by ₹15, palmolein and soyabean refined oil by ₹2 each for 10 kg. Lower than expected arrivals of oilseeds in producing centres pushed up sentiments for indigenous edible oils. Liberty was quoting palmolein at ₹4,78-480, super palmolein at ₹500 and soyabean refined oil at ₹595 for January.

20/12/2014 (Business Recorder) - The Karachi Port handled 147,528 tonnes of cargo comprising 120,918 tonnes of import cargo and 26,610 tonnes of export cargo including 7,019 loaded and empty containers during the last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Friday. The total import cargo of 120,918 tonnes comprised of 61,893 tonnes of containerised cargo; 4,748 tonnes of general cargo; 28,079 tonnes of bulk cargo and 26,198 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
