European vegoils-Palm oil up with futures on higher energy markets

ROTTERDAM: Palm oil on the European vegetable oils market was firmer on Monday following gains in Malaysian palm oil futures, as a rally in energy markets triggered bargain buying and short covering after recent losses on the back of an improved output outlook.

Palm oil futures test resistances, decline

Malaysian palm oil futures, ended higher on Monday, after five sessions of falls tracking strength in crude oil and US Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) soyoil futures. The benchmark third month December contract moved as expected. The move to 2,300 MYR/tonne was not accompanied by good volumes and fizzled out.
