Bulgaria has extended its import ban on Ukrainian sunflower seed (SFS) until the end of November. But Ukrainian companies continue to make deals with Bulgarian buyers, awaiting the resumption of trade in December, supported by the local crushing industry's needs.

IRFA urges farmers to apply for on-farm biodiesel credit program
On Sept. 28, the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association launched the latest round of its statewide On-Farm Biodiesel Credit program to give back to farmers dedicated to using higher biodiesel blends. Farmers who are buying higher biodiesel blends can receive up to 50 cents per gallon. To be eligible, farmers must be filling an on-farm tank in Iowa being used in an agricultural operation.

02/10/2023 (EurAsia Review) - On May 16 2023, the European Union (EU) passed the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) regarding deforestation and prohibiting environmentally unfriendly products. One of the commodities affected is Indonesia’s main product, palm oil; palm oil could not enter 27 European countries. In the EUDR, exporters such as Indonesia must submit due diligence and verification documents. In addition, Indonesia must guarantee that palm oil does not come from deforestation areas starting January 1, 2021.

Malaysian palm oil to trade between 3,700-4,500 rgt/T until mid-2024- analyst Mistry
01/10/2023 (Hellenic Shipping) - Malaysian palm oil is expected to trade between 3,700 to 4,500 ringgit ($790-960) per metric ton from now until mid-2024, as an El Niño weather pattern threatens supplies amid rising demand from the food and biodiesel sectors, industry analyst Dorab Mistry said.
