Malaysian palm oil futures fell for a second straight session on Monday, tracking weakness in rival oils and a slump in crude oil prices.

Nov 20 (Reuters) - Exports of Malaysian palm oil products for Nov. 1 to 20 rose 9% to 1,066,899 tonnes from 978,917 tonnes shipped during the same period a month earlier, according to independent inspection company AmSpec Agri Malaysia on Saturday.

The Federal Government and states have been urged to prioritise palm oil production to salvage the economy and save the country from present global economic crisis.

JAKARTA: Malaysian palm oil futures traded lower on Friday as investors locked in profits, but posted a second straight weekly gain as concerns over a slowdown in production and strong exports supported prices.

The supply of palm oil may not ease before the first quarter of 2022 as an unresolved labor shortage continues in Malaysia while high government duties turn buyers away from larger rival Indonesia, leading edible oil industry analysts said at an S&P Global Platts event Nov. 17.

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 18 - Malaysian palm oil futures slipped on Thursday, erasing gains from the previous session as crude prices weakened, but upbeat outlooks on exports and output limited losses.

The theme of the consumer interactions was ‘Health and Nutritional Benefits of Palm Oil and Efforts taken by Malaysia towards Sustainability and sustainable Palm Oil’.

KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 18): The vast majority of palm oil producers have not assessed climate risk despite the industry contributing significantly to the world’s greenhouse gas emissions, according to the Zoological Society of London (ZSL).
