Gov't working to maintain productivity of palm cooking oil: official
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Industry Ministry has said it is making efforts to maintain the productivity of the palm cooking oil industry to meet people's needs, in line with President Joko Widodo's directive. The government implemented a program for distributing 11 million liters of cooking oil through modern market and retail operations in November 2021 with the support of the cooking oil industry and the Indonesian Retailers Association (Aprindo).

EU weekly soybean imports doubled to 215,8k, total at 6.77m mt
Weekly soybean imports into the EU almost doubled to 215,814 mt during the week ending January 9, bringing total imports since July 1, 2021, to 6.77 million mt, data from the European Commission showed Tuesday.

Exports of crude palm oil soar 176% to 62K tonnes
10/01/2022 (The Phnom Penh Post Online) - Cambodia exported nearly 62,000 tonnes of crude palm oil in 2021, rising in excess of 176 per cent from a year earlier, worth more than $66 million, or at an average of over $1.06 per kilogramme, according to Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries data.

CPO stocks fall in December on lower production

“Post revised its MY (marketing year) 2021/22 crude palm oil (CPO) production downward from 18.2 million tons to 18.0 million tons, taking into account the effect of anomalous weather from the super typhoon Rai (a month of rain recorded in one day on December 18 in Peninsular Malaysia) and the continuing acute labor issue the industry has faced since 2019.
