KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 2 (Reuters) - Malaysian palm oil futures rose for a third straight session on Wednesday to hit a near 12-week high, tracking strength in rival edible oils as disruptions in Black Sea supply stoked concerns.

PUTRAJAYA: The price of 5kg cooking oil will drop by 60 sen to RM30.90 effective Nov 8.

INDONESIA, the world’s biggest palm oil producer, is testing to see whether vehicles can run effectively on diesel blended with 40% cooking oil, and if it works well at higher altitudes. A successful outcome would shift more local supply toward biofuel and curb exports.

The Malaysian government officially ratified the CPTPP on September 30, 2022. The trade deal was signed in 2018 but required years of careful deliberation and consultation by Parliament for final approval.
