Palm oil is the most ubiquitous vegetable oil. Present in everything from soaps to ketchup, it is the mainstay of all manner of consumer products. India, as the world’s fifth largest consumer market and now the world’s most populous country, is unsurprisingly a major consumer of the commodity.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian palm oil futures fell for a fourth consecutive session on Wednesday to close at their lowest level in a month, as weak exports and rival oils weighed on market sentiment.

SINGAPORE: Palm oil may break a support at 3,565 ringgit per tonne and fall to 3,504 ringgit. The bounce triggered by the support has been almost reversed.
