Indonesia\'s Plantation Commodity Exports Reach US$16.98 Billion In First Half Of 2012

10/08/2012 (Business Recorder) - The Karachi Port handled 56,385 tonnes of cargo comprising 41,132 tonnes of import cargo and 15,253 tonnes of export cargo during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Thursday. The total import cargo of 41,132 tonnes comprised of 12,042 tonnes of containerised cargo; 1,604 tonnes of general cargo and 27,486 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.

Bearish Trend Continues in Palmolein
09/08/2012 (Hindu Business Line) - Imported palmolein continued to be bearish tracking extended losses in Malaysian palm oil futures that fell to near two-month low on Wednesday. In Mumbai, palmolein lost by Rs 8 as domestic refineries cut their rates by Rs 10. Cotton refined oil dropped by Rs 3 for 10 kg and rapeseed oil declined by Rs 2. Groundnut, soya and sunflower oil ruled unchanged. Lack of new demand and bearish sentiment kept volumes thin and isolated.
