Cargill Gains ISPO Certification For Sustainable Palm Oil Production
09/03/2013 (Food Porduct Design) - Cargill’s PT Hindoli oil palm plantation in South Sumatra has received official Indonesia Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) certification. The milestone, which recognizes PT Hindoli’s efforts in the sustainable production of palm oil, comes just three months after the Musi Banyuasin Regency in South Sumatra conferred the Platinum MUBA CSR Award for excellence in the Agribusiness and Agriculture sector to the Cargill oil palm plantation.

Higher Arrivals, Slack Demand Cool Indigenous Oils
09/03/2013 (Hindu Business Line) - Indigenous edible oils such as groundnut and rapeseed oil dropped by Rs 5 for 10 kg each on Friday. Cotton refined oil declined by Rs 2. Slack physical demand and higher arrivals of mustard seeds in producing centres pulled down these oils while imported palmolein rose by Re 1 and soyabean refined oil inched up by Rs 5 tracking extended gains in Malaysian palm oil futures. Sunflower oil ruled steady.

08/03/2013 (Hindu Business Line) - Crude palm oil futures prices are likely to trade on Bursa Malaysia in a range between Ringgit 2,300 and 2,500 a tonne until the end of April as the market has entered the low cycle phase of palm oil production.
