Imported Edible Oils Fall Further
16/05/2013 (Hindu Business Line) - Edible oil prices, especially imported plmolein and soyabean refined oil, extended loss further by Rs 2 each and cotton refined oil dropped by Rs 3 for 10 kg on Wednesday tracking weak local demand and bearish Malaysian palm oil futures. Groundnut, rapeseed and sunflower oil ruled unchanged in line with steady to weak trend in producing centres.

Malaysia Production of CPO Rose 3%, CPKO Down 11% In April
16/05/2013 (UkrAgroConsult) - Malaysian production of crude palm oil (CPO) rose moderately but crude pam kernel oil output fell last month. CPO production climbed to 1.367 million tonnes (MT) in April 2013, up 3.1% compared to 1.325 million MT a month ago, and up 7.4% compared to 1.273 million MT in April 2012, according to MPOB data. Total CPO output reached 5.59 million MT in the first 4 months of this year, up 12.7% compared to 4.96 million MT at the same time last year.
