Activity at Karachi and Qasim Ports
15/11/2013 (Business Recorder) - The Karachi Port handled 61,918 tonnes of cargo comprising 48,052 tonnes of import cargo and 13,866 tonnes of export cargo including 2,535 loaded and empty containers during the last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The total import cargo of 48,052 tonnes comprised of 28,999 tonnes of containerised cargo; 928 tonnes of general cargo; 3,427 tonnes of bulk cargo and 14,698 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.

Oil-Palm Fuel Could Be More Carbon Intensive Than Diesel

That's according to researchers at the University of California, Davis, US, who have studied the emissions resulting from land conversion over the next 30 years under three different levels of policy enforcement – none, some and strict.
