31/03/2014 (Business Recorder) - A cargo volume of 61,218 tonnes comprising 47,348 tonnes of import cargo and 13,870 tonnes of export cargo inclusive 3,636 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) was handled at Port Qasim during the last 24 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 47,348 tonnes includes 8,000 tonnes of palm oil; 1,128 tonnes of VCM; 10,142 tonnes of steel coil and 28,087 tonnes of containerised cargo.
