Soybean Close Lower, but Well off Early Lows

29/07/2024 (Barchart) - Soybeans ended the Monday session rallying off the early morning lows. Contracts closed with 8 to 10 cent losses in the front months and other nearby August down 25 ½. Product pressure via oil was in play, with Soy Oil futures down 12 to 83 points in the nearbys and higher in the deferreds. Soymeal futures were up 70 cents to $2.20/ton in the front months.

Report: Thailand to implement 1% SAF target in 2026

30/07/2024 (Biodiesel Magazine) - Thailand’s newly proposed National Energy Plan is expected to set a target for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) starting in 2026, according to a report filed with the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service’s Global Agricultural Information Network in July. The plan also includes targets for ethanol and biodiesel.

25/07/2024 (Chemanalyst) - NATSO, which represents America’s travel centers and truck stops; SIGMA: America’s Leading Fuel Marketers; and the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) have praised a bipartisan group of lawmakers for introducing the “Biodiesel Tax Credit Extension Act of 2024.” This proposed legislation aims to extend the biodiesel blender’s tax credit and is sponsored by Representatives Mike Carey (R-Ohio), Claudia Tenney (R-NY), Ann Kuster (D-NH), and Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-Iowa).
