29/12/2015 (The Nation) - Nigeria will continue to under achieve her potentials in palm oil production both as a crop for export and for local use unless issues of lack of incentives to invest in agriculture, dysfunctional land tenure system, high transaction cost, and high risks arising from poor governance are addressed, a study on palm oil released this week by the Initiative for Public Policy Analysis (IPPA), has shown.

Vegoils: Palm Oil up Again on Declining Output
28/12/2015 (Reuters) - Palm oil on the European vegetable oils market rose further on Tuesday on expectations of sharply lower output in the southern part of Malaysia, which lifted palm oil futures. "Malaysian palm oil futures were up again on concerns over lower output, some 20 percent down in the first 20 days of December in the state of Johor. On the other side, exports in that same period were down by around 25 percent," a broker said.
