The Malaysian CPO futures contract traded on the Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange surged about 24 per cent from MYR 2,200 per tonne in January to a high of MYR 2,740 in April following drop in production in Malaysia and Indonesia, the world’s largest producers of palm oil.
