This plan, launched under the newly introduced National Soybean Production Policy and Strategy, seeks to expand the current soybean-farmed area from under one million hectares to two million hectares. This expansion is expected to yield an additional 460,000 metric tons of soybeans annually, addressing a significant portion of the nation’s production deficit.

Crude Palm Oil Production Rises To 3.80 LT In 2024-25: Centre

Till March 2025, 1.89 lakh hectare had been covered under the National Mission on Edible Oils - Oil Palm (NMEO-OP), taking the total coverage under oil palm in the country to 5.56 lakh hectare.
