NNPC ventures into oil palm bio-diesel project

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has commenced a community integration and stakeholders’ engagement to sensitise people in Cross River ahead the planned oil palm-based bio-diesel project.According to a statement by the spokesman of the NNPC, Mr. Ndu Ughamadu, in Abuja 26,000-hectare facility was designed to accommodate an oil palm plantation co-located with bio-diesel, crude palm oil co-generation plants and other facilities.

Crude palm oil futures remain weak on low demand

New Delhi, Jul 17 Crude palm oil prices fell 0.36 per cent to Rs 610.50 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators cut bets, taking negative cues from spot market on easing demand amid expectations of higher production.
