01/10/2012 (Business Recorder) - A cargo volume of 70,125 tonnes comprising 45,335 tonnes of import cargo and 24,790 tonnes of export cargo inclusive 1,301 loaded & empty containers (TEUs) was handled at Port Qasim during last 24 hours on Saturday. The total import cargo of 45,335 tonnes includes 30,389 tonnes of diesel oil; 6,791 tonnes of iron ore; 5,755 tonnes of fertiliser and 2,400 tonnes of containerised cargo. The total export cargo of 24,790 tonnes includes 1,217 tonnes of cement and 23,573 tonnes of containerised cargo.
