04/04/2014 (Hindu Business Line) - A contrasting trend was witnessed in palm oil and soya oil prices on Thursday. On the NCDEX, soya oil futures rose by ₹5-6 but on the spot, it ruled steady in absence of demand. On Bombay Commodity Exchange, palmolein dropped by ₹3. Soya oil, groundnut and sunflower oil were unchanged, while cotton and rapeseed oil increased by ₹6 and ₹3 for 10 kg each. The volume remained lower compared with the previous day as stockists kept away as the market was volatile.
