Malaysian palm oil exports fall: ITS
18/03/2025 (Fastmarkets) - Malaysia’s palm oil exports during March 1-15 totalled 381,790 tonnes compared with 422,425 tonnes the preceding month due to lower purchases from key destination markets, according to figures from cargo surveyor Intertek Testing Services (ITS).The figure excludes shipments of soft oils, coconut oils and used cooking oil (UCO), with the volume down by 10%, or 40,635 tonnes, from the February 1-5 period.
Tariff Commission recommends extending duty exemption on edible oils
20/03/2025 (TBS News) - The Bangladesh Trade and Tariff Commission (BTTC) has recommended increasing the import duty exemption period on all types of edible oils such as soybean, palm oil, sunflower and canola till 30 June to maintain normal supply and keep prices stable before Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha.
