The station sells locally made, coconut-based dieselfor diesel vehicles, the report said. The biodiesel is 10 baht (US$0.23)per liter less than traditional diesel, the report stated. Thegovernment's policy to promote the use of alternative fuels is aimed atreducing the country's reliance on imported oil, the report said. Thealternative fuels policy is also a part of an ethanol project thatpromotes the development of crop-based fuel as an oil substitute, thereport continued.
