26/05/2012 (Business Recorder) - The Karachi Port handled 59,546 tonnes of cargo comprising 48,428 tonnes of import cargo and 11,118 tonnes of export cargo including 288 loaded & empty containers during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Friday. The total import cargo of 48,428 tonnes comprised of 1,215 tonnes of containerised cargo; 1,960 tonnes of general cargo; 14,200 tonnes of coal and 31,053 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
