Govt Hikes Edible Oil Tariff Value

16/02/2013 (Business Sandard) - To curb the spurt in edible oil import, the government today raised the tariff value of edible oils by four to five per cent. In January, edible oil import had touched a two-decade high of 1.15 million tonnes, 75 per cent more than in January 2012.

Shipping Activity at Port Qasim

Berth occupancy was maintained at 36 percent at the port on Saturday where a total of five ships are currently occupying berths to load/offload, palm oil, cement, meg, furnace oil paraxylne and steel coil.
