Forecast of increased palm oil production in Malaysia will limit the rise in vegetable oil prices
28/07/2025 (UkrAgroConsult) - The Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) forecasts that the country’s palm oil production will increase from 19.3 million tonnes in 2024 to 19.5 million tonnes in 2025, driven by an increase in labor supply. In addition, the country, which is the world’s second-largest palm oil producer, will increase its imports to 17 million tonnes in 2025.

Growing biodiesel production in Brazil boosts demand for soybean oil
24/07/2025 (UkrAgroConsult) - In the second quarter of 2025, biodiesel production in Brazil increased by 5.6% year-on-year to 2.08 million tons, and from January to June the figure reached 3.97 million tons (+7.3%). According to German analysts Oil World, this stimulated more active use of soybean oil as a raw material: in April-June its volume in biofuel production increased by 10% to 1.6 million tons.
