15/02/2023 (World Grain), Jakarta/Indonesia - A projected 400,000 to 800,000 tonnes of Indonesian palm oil are expected to be blocked from the global market over the next three months after the government said it would suspend two-thirds of palm oil exports in order to shore up domestic cooking oil supplies, according to a Global Agricultural Information Network report from the Foreign Agricultural Service o the US Department of Agriculture (USDA).

15/02/2023 (The Economic Times) - India's edible oil imports rose 33 per cent in January to 16.61 lakh tonnes, the highest since September 2021, driven by higher imports of sunflower oil, according to industry body SEA. Import of vegetable oils (edible and non-edible oils) in January rose 31 per cent to 16,61,750 tonnes from 12,70,728 tonnes in the same month last year.
