Edible Oils Turn Hot on Firm Global Cues
29/12/2012 (Hindu Business Line) - Positive sentiments continued in edible oil markets tracking firm futures markets and extended gain in Malaysian palm oil on Friday. In Mumbai, groundnut and cotton refined oil improved by Rs 5 and Re1 each. Imported palmolein was up by Rs 3 and soyabean refined oil increased by Re 1 each. Sunflower and rapeseed oil ruled steady. Liberty sold about 350-400 tonnes of palmolein at Rs 502-504 and super palmolein Rs 550. Ruchi sold about 700-800 tonnes of imported palmolein at Rs 494 ex-JNPT and 50-60 tonnes sunflower refined oil at Rs 770. Resellers offloaded about 150-200 tonnes palmolein at Rs 491 ex JNPT.
