Edible Oils Rule Steady on Strong Futures
29/05/2013 (Hindu Business Line) - The undercurrent in edible oils market remained firm on Tuesday tracking firm domestic and overseas futures markets and weak Indian currency which led to import parity costly. In local market, barring palmolein which increased by Re 1 and rapeseed oil declined by Rs 3 for 10 kg all other oils ruled unchanged on slack physical demand. The volume was thin, said sources.

Activity at Karachi and Qasim Ports
29/05/2013 (Business Recorder) - The Karachi Port handled 76,209 tonnes of cargo comprising 57,011 tonnes of import cargo and 19,198 tonnes of export cargo including 2,314 loaded and empty containers during the last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The total import cargo of 57,011 tonnes comprised 15,616 tonnes of containerised cargo; 2,018 tonnes of general cargo; 11,536 tonnes of bulk cargo: 3,955 tonnes of DAP; 7,581 tonnes of rock phosphate and 27,841 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
