20/11/2014 (Business Recorder) - The Karachi Port handled 135,827 tonnes of cargo comprising 114,915 tonnes of import cargo and 20,912 tonnes of export cargo including 5,908 loaded and empty containers during the last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The total import cargo of 114,915 tonnes comprised of 42,053 tonnes of containerised cargo; 11,918 tonnes of general cargo; 9,634 tonnes of bulk cargo: 2,080 tonnes of wheat; 3,523 tonnes of soybean meal; 4,031 tonnes of sunflower seeds and 51,310 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
