Activity at Karachi & Qasim Ports
08/07/2015 (Reuters) - The Karachi Port handled 115,256 tonnes of cargo comprising 96,724 tonnes of import cargo and 18,532 tonnes of export cargo including 4,949 loaded and empty containers during the last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday. The total import cargo of 96,724 tonnes comprised of 48,414 tonnes of containerised cargo; 19,806 tonnes of bulk cargo: 9,240 tonnes of coal; 7,990 tonnes of DAP; 2,576 tonnes of scrap and 28,504 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.

Beginning on June 6, residents along the river in the municipality of Sayaxché, Peten, began to find millions of fish, their primary source of food and income, floating dead in the river.
