KUALA LUPUR: The following factors are likely to influence Malaysian palm oil futures and other vegetable oil markets on Thursday July 13.

Reading the SciDevNet article titled “Palm oil under fire as potential carcinogen” recently caused me much despair as I found it not only misleading but also quite simple in its “black-and-white” approach.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian palm oil futures gave up early gains to close slightly lower on Wednesday, tracking weakness in related edible oils in Chicago and on China's Dalian Commodity Exchange.
