24/09/2013 (Hindu Business Line) - Indian Palm oil imports are likely to remain at 83 lakh tonnes in the oil year 2013-14 starting from November, as local refiners prefer cheaper alternatives like soy and sunflower oil, Godrej International Director, Dorab Mistry said today.

24/09/2013 (Business Recorder) - The Karachi Port handled 288,334 tonnes of cargo comprising 213,520 tonnes of import cargo and 74,814 tonnes of export cargo including 5,888 loaded and empty containers during the last 48 hours ended at 0700 hours on Monday. The total import cargo of 213,520 tonnes comprised 95,764 tonnes of containerised cargo; 28,676 tonnes of general cargo; 9,893 tonnes of bulk cargo: 4,395 tonnes of DAP; 1,827 tonnes of rape seed; 3,671 tonnes of soyabean meal and 79,187 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
