JAKARTA, April 5 Asia Pulse - Indonesia's exports of crude palm oil wereestimated to grow by 8 per cent in the first quarter of this year from thesame period last year, producers said.

Derom Bangun, chairman of the association of palm oil companies (Gapki)said the decision of India to raise the import duty on CPO and derivativeswould not significantly reduce exports to that country.

India, which recently raised the import duty on CPO from 65 per cent to 80per cent is still the largest buyer of CPO from Indonesia.

Exports to Europe and China were estimated to make up for 18 per cent and10 per cent respectively of the country's total exports in the firstquarter of this year, he said.
