14/07/2011 (Daily Express) - Some shops here have limited the sales of cooking oil to only one to three packs per customer because of a lack of supply.

The situation has been ongoing for a week and has attracted negative reaction from consumers, especially housewives.

Those who were asked said problems such as this should not occur especially with Aidil Adha and Aidil Fitri celebrations are around the corner.

"I do not understand the frequency of the problem because our State is a palm oil exporterÉit is illogical," said Tina, a housewife.

Roslan Deraman, a private sector employee, said the problem in the local market maybe caused by certain people because complaints that have been lodged to the relevant Ministry have so far been ineffective.

"My friend has complained this to the relevant ministries and agencies but it does not seem that they are doing anything.

"If we were to complain to the media, these people will scold us for not using appropriate channels to complain," Roslan said.
