10/06/2011 (Bernama) - The Perak government has allocated 625 hectares to the state Farmers Organisation Authority to cultivate oil palm, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir said Thursday.

The identification and documentation of the land would be carried out as soon as possible, he told reporters after handing over RM19.5 million dividends to participants of the people's farms programme and associated farm owners for the 2010 financial year.

The 924 participants received RM6.8 million in dividends while the rest went to the farm owners.
