01/03/2011 (Bangkok Post) - The Commerce Ministry should be able to distribute more one-litre bottles of imported cooking palm oil to stores nationwide this week, minister Porntiva Nakasai said on Monday.

Supplies of bottled palm oil with the new pink caps were distributed to Klong Toey fresh market and Carrefour hypermarket on Rama IV road this afternoon, Mrs Porntiva said.

Deputy Prime Minister and National Oil Palm Policy Committee chairman Suthep Thaugsuban was adamant the cooking oil shortage is over.
