Palm Oil Exports Rise By 2.69% to 1.5 Million Tonnes In November

10/12/2010 (Bernama) - Malaysia's palm oil exports increased by 2.69% to 1.5 million tonnes in November, 2010 from 1.46 million tonnes in the previous month.

In a statement here Friday, the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) said palm kernel oil exports rose by 36.4% to 120,941 tonnes from 88,668 tonnes last month.

Palm kernel cake exports, however, fell by 16.29% to 217,332 tonnes from 259,630 tonnes in October.

Oleochemical exports rose by 11.07% to 198,120 tonnes from 178,373 tonnes previously.

Biodiesel exports were at 3,482 tonnes. None was exported in the previous month.

Malaysia imported 75,510 tonnes of crude palm oil (CPO) in November, an increase of 20.86% from 62,476 tonnes in October.

Palm oil stocks in November 2010 declined by 8.72% to 1.63 million tonnes from 1.79 million tonnes the previous month.

Of the amount, MPOB said, CPO stocks accounted for 863,802 tonnes compared with 968,836 tonnes previously and processed palm oil amounted to 772,868 tonnes compared with 824,256 tonnes in October.

It said CPO output for November 2010 declined by 10.85% to 1.45 million tonnes from 1.63 million tonnes in October.

November palm kernel production fell by 10.72% to 363,694 tonnes from 407,378 tonnes previously and crude palm kernel oil declined by 17.64% to 170,428 tonnes from 206,933 tonnes in October.

Output of palm kernel cake declined by 16.53% to 191,632 tonnes from 229,573 tonnes previously.

The average price of fresh fruit bunches per tonne rose by 15.3% to RM36.25 per tonne in November 2010.
