Palm Oil Stocks Drop In July While Output And Export Increase
10/08/2010 (Bernama), Kuala Lumpur - Palm oil stocks dropped 3.13 per cent in July 2010 to 1.405 million tonnes as against 1.451 million tonnes registered in preceding June, according to the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB).
Out of the amount, crude palm oil (CPO) stocks accounted for 736,548 tonnes during the month from 715,556 tonnes previously while that of processed palm oil stood at 669,192 tonnes from 735,597 tonnes in June, it said in a statement here today.
In terms of production, CPO output during the month rose 6.97 per cent to 1.518 million tonnes when compared to 1.419 million tonnes in June.
Production of palm kernel rose 15.49 per cent to 388,911 tonnes from 336,748 tonnes previously while that of crude palm kernel oil (CPKO) increased 17.43 per cent to 178,844 tonnes from 152,295 tonnes in June.
Meanwhile, palm oil exports in July was up 1.79 per cent to 1.469 million tonnes as against 1.443 million tonnes in the preceding month.
Exports of oleochemical was down 1.26 per cent to 190,115 tonnes from 192,539 tonnes while that of palm kernel oil was better at 96,811 tonnes against 60,227 tonnes in June.
