SD Guthrie’s Crude Palm Oil Production Jumps 15% In 3Q 2026
18/10/2026 (Business Today) - SD Guthrie Bhd recorded a 15% year-on-year increase in crude palm oil (CPO) production to 655,577 metric tonnes in the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2026 (3QFY26), compared with 568,086 tonnes in the corresponding quarter last year.
The plantation group reported higher production across all three major plantation categories, reflecting stronger output during the quarter.
Fresh fruit bunches (FFB) production rose 8% to 2.48 million tonnes from 2.30 million tonnes a year earlier, while palm kernel production increased 16% to 145,017 tonnes from 125,362 tonnes.
The improved quarterly performance also represented growth from the preceding quarter ended June 30, 2026.
CPO production increased 9% quarter-on-quarter from 602,278 tonnes, while FFB output climbed 8% from 2.29 million tonnes.
Palm kernel production similarly rose 10% from 131,262 tonnes in the second quarter.
For the first nine months ended Sept 30, 2026, SD Guthrie’s cumulative CPO production increased 7% to 1.76 million tonnes, compared with 1.65 million tonnes in the same period last year.
FFB production edged up 1% to 6.68 million tonnes from 6.59 million tonnes, while palm kernel output expanded 6% to 385,550 tonnes from 363,273 tonnes.
The stronger growth in CPO production compared with FFB output indicates improved overall oil output relative to harvested fruit volumes during the period.
