03/08/2026 (The New Voice of Ukraine) - Ukrainian rapeseed oil exports surged 2.5-fold to 520k metric tons in the 2025/26 marketing year while export revenue more than tripled to $588M, with Spain overtaking Poland as the leading importer, Ukroliyaprom trade association wrote.

Spain became the largest importer of Ukrainian rapeseed oil in the 2025/26 marketing year, purchasing 109,100 metric tons valued at $121.6 million.

Poland ranked second, importing 99,000 metric tons worth $112.4 million, followed by Bulgaria in third place with 95,700 metric tons valued at $107.9 million.

Rounding out the top five importers were the Netherlands, which acquired 62,400 metric tons ($69.7 million), and Belgium, which imported 27,800 metric tons ($30.9 million).

European Union member states imported 92.8% of Ukraine's total rapeseed oil exports in the 2025/26 marketing year.

Domestic processing of rapeseed in this period surpassed 1.3 million metric tons (accounting for 42% of the total harvest), marking an all-time processing record for the agricultural commodity in Ukraine.

Ukraine earlier introduced a 10% export duty on rapeseed and soybeans on Sept. 4, 2025.

Following the implementation of the 10% export duty in September 2025, domestic production of oil and meal from these commodities rose sharply, driving up exports of processed products.

However, the American Chamber of Commerce noted that the introduction of export duties on rapeseed and soybeans caused a redistribution of revenue from agricultural producers to processors, resulting in total estimated losses for farmers of approximately $200 million.

Meanwhile, in the first five months of 2026, egg exports increased by 22% compared to the same period in 2025, reaching 1.014 billion units, while revenue surged 64% to $112.5 million.

The primary buyers of Ukrainian eggs between January and May 2026 were Spain (28.1%), the United Kingdom (14.0%), Poland (9.4%), and Israel (7.3%), with EU countries accounting for 75% of total egg exports.
