Palm Oil Exports Increase 3.82 Pct; CPO Output Up 7.09 Pct In July --MPOB
Bernama (11/08/2025) - Malaysia’s palm oil exports increased by 3.82 per cent month-on-month (m-o-m) to1.30 million tonnes in July from 1.26 million tonnes in June, according to the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB).
The country produced 1.81 million tonnes of crude palm oil (CPO)last month, up by 7.09 per cent from 1.69 million tonnes in the preceding month, it said today in its monthly release of the Performance of the Malaysian Palm Oil Industry, July 2025 report.
Palm kernel output rose 8.75 per cent m-o-m to 431,615 tonnes from 396,879 tonnes in June.
Meanwhile, crude palm kernel oil production advanced 13.27per cent m-o-m to 218,239 tonnes from 192,665 tonnes previously, while palm kernel cake expanded 11.77 per cent m-o-m to238,511 tonnes from 213,398 tonnes.
On inventories, MPOB said the CPO stockpile dropped 2.02 percent to 1.02 million tonnes in July compared with 1.04 million tonnes in June, while processed palm oil stocks grew 10.38 per cent m-o-m to 1.09 million tonnes from 988,779 tonnes previously.
This brought total palm oil inventories higher by 4.02 per cent to2.11 million tonnes in July, from 2.03 million tonnes in June.
In addition, palm kernel oil exports climbed 3.70 per cent to90,028 tonnes from 86,814 tonnes in June, while palm kernel cake exports advanced 33.97 per cent m-o-m to 254.239 tonnes from 189,774 tonnes.
Oleochemical exports gained 22.27 per cent m-o-m to 248,923 tonnes from 203,590 tonnes, and biodiesel exports jumped 1,662.25 per cent to 49,195 tonnes m-o-m from 2,792 tonnes.
CPO imports in July stood at 7,816 tonnes versus nil in June, while total palm kernel oil imports rose 105.57 per cent m-o-m to 24,516 tonnes from 11,926 tonnes in June.
