Malaysia keeps May crude palm oil export duty at 10%, lowers reference price
The Edge Malaysia (15/04/2025) - KUALA LUMPUR (April 15): Malaysia has maintained its May export tax for crude palm oil at 10% and lowered its reference price, a circular on the Malaysian Palm Oil Board website showed on Tuesday.
The world's second largest palm exporter calculated a reference price of RM4,449.35 (US$1,008.47) per metric tonne for May. The April reference price was RM4,547.79 a tonne.
The export tax structure starts at 3% for crude palm oil in a RM2,250-to-RM2,400-per-tonne range. The maximum tax rate is set at 10% when prices exceed RM4,050 a tonne.
